Mend is a mental wellness tool operated by Harbour Within. This policy explains what data we collect, how we store it, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and the password you set. Once you start using Mend, we store the mood entries you log, the feelings and notes you add to them, and the messages you send and receive in chat. We also store the preferences you set during onboarding, such as your display name and check-in time.
How we store it
Your data is encrypted and stored securely. Your mood entries, chat history, and profile are encrypted in a way that means even the Mend team cannot read the contents. We use encryption in transit on all connections and encryption at rest for all personal data.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not use your conversations or mood entries to train machine learning models. We do not display advertising.
Who can access your data
Because your data is encrypted, its contents are only accessible to you. The Mend team can see anonymised, aggregated statistics such as how many check-ins were logged on a given day, but cannot read individual mood entries, notes, or chat messages.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete all your data at any time from the Settings page inside Mend. Deleting your account removes all associated data permanently.
Crisis situations
Mend is a wellness tool, not a clinical service. If Mend detects signs of serious distress, it will direct you to appropriate crisis support services. We do not contact emergency services on your behalf.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. To make a request, contact us at hello@harbourwithin.app.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email or through the app before the changes take effect.
